Severe sepsis

This dataset contains the number of severe sepsis cases, number of severe sepsis in-hospital deaths, the percent of hospital-acquired severe sepsis cases, the percent of severe sepsis in-hospital deaths, the average length of stay for severe sepsis hospitalizations, the respective median charge per day (Charges are not adjusted for inflation and hospitalizations that were reported to HCAI with $0 charges were not included), the expected payer for severe sepsis hospitalizations, and the percent of patients who were alive at discharge and died within 30 days of discharge (in-hospital death were excluded). This dataset also contains hospital-acquired severe sepsis in different type of hospitals including hospital size, hospital locations, teaching hospital and hospital ownership.
