California Water Rights Measurement Devices (Reported in Annual Report)

Report Year. The reporting period starts in January 1 and ends on December 31 for the years before January 1, 2021. For the 2021 report, the period is from January 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. For the 2022 and subsequent, the reporting period follows the water year starting on October 1 and ends on September 30 the following year.

Revision is the number of the revision submitted. A submitter may resubmit the report with corrections. The provided number is the value of the report number, i.e. if this is the second revision, then the vallue is 2. If there are no revisions the value would be 0.

This flags those report records that are the last revision and that should be used for reporting purposes.

Unique ID for each report (including revisions). This ID is system generated.

Primary Owner identifies the main party listed on the water right record. They are typically responsible for the water right and are subject to providing the annual water use reports and paying the annual water use fees. 

Report Primary Contact identifies the main contcat listed on the annual report. They are typically responsible for the water right and are subject to providing the annual water use reports and paying the annual water use fees. 

Date the Annual Report was submitted to the Water Rights Report Management System

Application number is a unique water right number that identifies the water right record. Application number starts with a letter followed by minimum of six numeric characters with option for additional alpha-numeric characters. 
First letter indicates the type of water right.

Certification number assigned to registrations at issuance. 

Identification number given upon issuance of a water right Permit; also known as the permit number.

License number assigned to new licenses at issuance. 

Water right type indicates the type of water record it is. Currently there are 18 different types of water right types to identify the water record.

Water right status identifies the current status of the water right type. There are multiple water right statuses for each water right type.

The type of report provided, types of reports include Progress Report by Permittee, Report of Licensee, Report of Registrant, Report of Stockpond, Supplemental Statement of Water Diversion and Use

Water source name for the diversion. NAME(S) OF SOURCES OF WATER.. i.e. LITTLE TRUCKEE RIVER

POD Parcel Number. Unique, system generated ID for each point of diversion plotted in the eWRIMS GIS database. Points of Diversion relate to a single point on a map where a water diversion from a surface water source occurs.

The name of one of the 58 counties in California

The maximum direct diversion rate allowed in the Water Right.

The unit of measurment for direct diversion.

The maximum annual amount of water requested to be placed into storage in any given year.

The maximum annual amount of water requested to be placed into storage in any given year. UNITS

Face value amount is given in either acre-feet per year or cubic-feet per second.
