Additional information

Additional Information: The unique identifier for the dataset is the combination of water right Id (APPLICATION_NUMBER) and Use code (USE_CODE) combination , for example if the water right has three uses of water there would be three rows. Each row would also specify the season period (Start and End) for direct diversion (Direct Diversion Season) and the season period (Start and End) for diversion to storage (Storage Season). In most cases one to many relationships are resoved by providing an aggegate of the values, the most relevant or recent value, or a reduced number of the most relevant values in the dataset. Limitations: “Use of this data is subject to the CA.gov Conditions of Use and any copyright and proprietary notices incorporated in or accompanying the individual files.” Data Methodology: The data is maintained in the eWRIMS database by authorized staff in the Division of Water Rights and is an electronic representation of the actual legal water right documents. Some of the data records may not be complete or up to date. Some of the data is directly reported by the Water Right holders and may have not been reviewed or veryfied for accuracy and completeness (QAQC).
