The State of California, Department of Developmental Services oversees and organizes services for individuals with developmental disabilities in California. This is achieved through a network of 21 non-profit, community-based agencies called regional centers. These regional centers are responsible for evaluating individuals, determining their eligibility for services, and providing case management.
