JSCS 2023-2025 Temperature Buoys Dataset

Water temperature (degrees C) at different depths was measured in the McCloud River and arm of the Shasta Reservoir from September until January at the latest during 2023 - 2025; temperature was measured using HOBO pendant sensors arrayed vertically on line attached at fixed depths to a buoy and anchor, sampling continuously (15 minute intervals) during deployment. Depth was measured in feet relative to either the bed (B) or surface (S). Sensors were checked weekly when possible to download data, verify sensor functionality and reset buoy location. Sensor accuracy was verified following DWR-1-SOP-002_v2.0_Thermometer Accuracy Verification SOP. Dataset quality control was completed on March 13, 2026.
