2024 Drinking Water Needs Assessment

The Drinking Water Needs Assessment, required to be carried out by SAFER Program, is an annual analysis of Public Water Systems, State Small Water Systems, and domestic wells. The Needs Assessment is comprised of four components: the Failing Water System List (Failing list), the Risk Assessment, the Cost Assessment, and the Affordability Assessment. The appendices of the report detail the data sources, calculation methodology, and scoring approach used to generate the data displayed in the SAFER Dashboard.
